The basic electrode is especially suitable for melting on the surfaces of parts subjected to intense impact load and for welding parts of steel with a high manganese content (Hadfield steel).
It is often used to form an intermediate layer before melting hard-melt electrodes ("Kontakt 365" or similar). The austenite structure of the seam ensures excellent impact resistance and wear resistance, nickel and chromium additives increase resistance to cracking and abrasive resistance. Special application: repair of parts subject to wear and intense impact load and preventive wear protection of parts in railway transport (rails, switches, etc. parts), as well as quarry and for mining equipment (bucket teeth of excavators, jaws of crushers, hammers of mills, stone crushers)
